I can only give this fragrance a mediocre review. The scent is not entirely accurate (see below), and the oil itself is quite overpowering -- to the point where simply handling the bottle without opening results in it sticking to your hands or the air for hours at a time. Other oils I handle do not quite stick as much, although this is no reason not to buy the product, simply a disclaimer.
It smells good, very clean and green scent. However, it is far too citrusy and Top-heavy to really be named after Irish Spring. The result is a more feminine smell (in my opinion). The resemblance is only slight. 'Irish Spring Original' (produced prior to early '22) is much more Mid and Bottom-heavy: woodsy and musky. I can hardly detect any of this in the Candora oil. This may be the preference of the person doing the mixing but I personally find the ratio to be skewed in the wrong direction with this oil. Candora's scent is more similar to the Irish Spring 'Body Wash' or the newer 'Original Clean' fragrance (currently sold in stores) -- if this is what you are after then this is the scent for you. If you are looking for Irish Spring Original you may be slightly disappointed or may need to try blending this with other oils to achieve the desired (more) masculine scent of the Original.
I liked this fragrance alot as well
This FO smells EXACTLY like Irish spring soaps. very beautiful and did not accelerate or rice my CP soap.
Smells exactly like Irish Spring. Very clean and fresh.
Tried it in my CP soap, non discoloration, smells exactly like the commercial soap and did not accelerate the trace. I really like it!
Tried this one for the first time today. It smells great OOB, and was wonderful to work with — no ricing, no acceleration, no discolouration. I had enough time to execute the 4-colour design I had planned, and was well pleased. I hope to do the cut tomorrow, and can't wait to see how it turned out. Glad I bought a big bottle!
Just as an update to my previous review...this FO smells exactly like Irish Spring in my saponified CP soap. Very nice.
It doesn’t smell like Irish Spring as much as I remember, but it’s okay OOB. It’s a bit medicinal, but hopefully it will mellow during the curing process.
It accelerated my batter at 105 degrees, which was disappointing. Not soap-on-a-stick, but my plan for a drop swirl had to be abandoned for plopping it into the mold. Would be a good FO to use if you’re looking for reasonable acceleration.
Smells just like Irish Spring! Lovely.
