No matter how careful you are with this one, result is seizing every time. Smell is just ok. Will not buy again
While I understood from others there could be some acceleration, I tried to be very careful with this one. I only blended until emotion was reached and I used a little less than I normally use in other soaps. I normally use 5 to 7% of fragrance oils and soap, and this one I used less than 5% and as soon as I put the fragrance oil in it completely seized almost rockhard I had to chip it out of the bowl!
I do use a water discount and I do put 1 tablespoon of sodium lactate and 1 Tbsp Kaolin Clay, in a 3 pound loaf, so I’m wondering what recipe Candora used to test the soap that it behaved beautifully for them?
I am usually cautious when using floral FOs anyway so I was quite surprised when this completely seized into a rock in no time fast.
I thought I could beat the seize... no way!! This hardened so fast I had to get my husband to help me get it out of my mixing bowl and help plunk it into a handy silicone mold. I was literally pushing it into the mold with my gloved hands, punching it down to try to force the quickly hardening batter into the loaf mold. It smells amazing... but I expect I will have to call this batch the 'ugly rose', and I'm really not sure what shapes they might be in, but definitely will not look like roses! LOL
Had previously read the ricing comment and was therefore very careful with it but this fragrance is nuclear! Totally seized in no time. Will nor buy again.
I'm happy to admit I'm not a very experienced soaper, but when I tried this fragrance in CP soap, the batter riced very badly.
