Super Greens Melt & Pour Soap
Super Greens M&P Soap
This melt & pour soap is packed full of super greens that are speckled throughout. Printable recipe can be found under the 'Documents' tab.
Yield: Makes (4) 4oz bars.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 lb. Detergent Free - Baby Buttermilk Melt & Pour Soap Base
- 0.50 oz (15ml) Lemongrass Green Tea Fragrance Oil
- 1/8 tsp Spirulina Powder
- 1/2 tsp Alfalfa Powder
- 1/2 tsp Spinach Powder
- 0.50 oz (15ml) Glycerin
- Basic Oval Silicone Mold - 1606
REQUIRED TOOLS:
- Microwave
- Medium Sized Microwave Safe Bowl
- Small Measuring Cup
- Measuring spoon
- Scale
- Spatula
- lsopropyl Alcohol Spray
DIRECTIONS:
1. Cut up 1 lb. (half of a 2 lb. tray) of the Detergent Free - Baby Buttermilk Melt & Pour Soap Base into small chunks and add it to a medium sized, microwave safe bowl.
2. Heat the soap in microwave for 30 second intervals, mixing at each interval. Heat only until fully melted.
3. While soap melts, mix the Spirulina Powder, Alfalfa Powder, and Spinach Powder together in a separate container. Add Glycerin to powders and stir. Add this blend to the melted soap.
4. Add Lemongrass Green Tea Fragrance Oil and stir.
5. Pour soap into all 4 cavities of the Basic Oval Silicone Mold - 1606
6. Spray the top with isopropyl alcohol to pop any surface bubbles.
7. Leave to cool and harden before removing from mold. Package and label as desired. Enjoy!
NOTES:
The botanical powders do not need to be prewetted. If adding the powders dry, mix thoroughly and make sure that there are no big clumps of powder within the soap.
