This is a vibrant colour that's fresh and bright. It's approved for lip and skincare products (not for eye products). It's formulated to work at higher temperatures and nail polish bases. While this is a non bleeding colourant, it can migrate into other colours or stain washcloths if too much is used.
FDA Certified Applications
Soap, Skincare: Yes
Lip Products: Yes
Eye Products: No
INCI: Bis (Glycidoxyphenyl) propane/Bisaminomethylnorbornane copolymer, Aluminum Hydroxide, Yellow 10
DIRECTIONS: This powder disperses best in oil or glycerin. When making cold process soap, blend powder into oils prior to saponification. When making melt and pour soap, blend powder into a small amount of liquid glycerin. Mixing well with a mini whisk or frother will decrease the amount of colour speckles in your final product. Add desired amount to soap base. This colour will not bleed or migrate in layered melt and pour soap. When making bath fizzies or dry products, blend amount as desired directly into the powders.
TIPS: Using too much colour may cause staining. Test your final product to insure optimal performance and no staining. Protect work areas and clothing when mixing.
STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, this product is freshest within 1 year from date of purchase.
CAUTION: Approved for lip and skincare products. Not approved for eye products. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not inhale.
Have never had a problem with this colour. I mix it in oil and add it but I have never made a soap that was totally yellow. This is my main yellow I always use.
Added this to a small portion of my CP soap batter, worked well stayed fluid for me to do hanger swirls, my recipe olive oil, coconut oil, cocoa butter, castor oil, Island nectar fragrance used, I soaped at 95-100 degrees, will definitely use this again
I used this at a rate of 1 tsp poo and my CP soap completely sized after under one minute. I am talking complete rebatch, I couldn't even press it down in a mold! I know it's the colour, because I mixed other colours from the same bat h Wich stayed nice and fluid.
