Adobe Orange Mica powder is safe for cosmetics. It is often used in Cold Process, Hot Process and Melt & Pour soap, lip balm, nail polish and scrubs. It's approved for general cosmetics, lip, eye and nail products.

As the other reviewer said, on its own this is a rather dark orange and the color doesn't pop as in the picture, at least in CP soap.
However it is easy to work with and to combine with other colors to achieve the desired hue.
This mica appears almost yellowish in the photo, but it really is a reddish orange that reminds you of adobe clay. Works well in cold process and is a nice, slightly burnt orange colour. We used it at about 1 tsp per pound of soap and it was a good, medium orange colour. Also works well when blended with yellow mica to produce a more balanced orange colour. We used 1 part of this to 2 parts of canary yellow mica to make a colour like orange Crush soda and it worked great.
