Optiphen Plus
Optiphen Plus is a highly effective broad spectrum antimicrobial preservative. Effective at pH levels below 6.0. No formaldehyde donors. Compatible with most raw materials. It is a reliable preservative to prevent bacteria, mold and fungal growth in products. It's commonly used in lotions and creams. NOT for lips. Paraben free, Formaldehyde free. Effective Against: Bacteria, Mold, Yeast.
INCI: Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol (and) Sorbic Acid.
Directions:
Add to formula when temperature of base is less than 176º F. Works best when pH of formula is 6.0 or less.
Recommended usage:
Lotions & Creams: 0.75 – 1.5%.
