Cold Process Soap Formulation
If you have not made CP or HP soap before, please take the Introduction to Cold Process Soap Making Class prior to this one.
Learn how to formulate your own cold process and hot process soap! In this class you'll learn how to use a soap calculator to help formulate your own recipes. Get an in-depth understanding of the essential ingredients of soapmaking (oils, lye and water) and how they work together to produce your desired results. You'll also learn how to scale your recipes, adapt any recipe with any mold and of course, troubleshoot. You'll make a batch of your own custom created cold process soap recipe to take home. Please bring along a calculator, your phone for internet access (or laptop) and your own soap mold. Any mold that will hold 2 lb of soap will work. **NOTE: Should you not have a mold, you may purchase one here upon arrival.
Please note that our classes are kept small for individual attention and safety. We offer classes on a first come, first serve basis.

Class Policies:
- Attendees must be 18 years or older to participate.
- Please do not bring along children (babies count as children :) or pets or partners or friends to class. We agree that coming with a friend can be lots of fun! So we encourage you to sign them up too and take the class together. Each class registration fee is for one participant only. You may transfer your spot to someone else at any time prior to class. Please notify us of the change at customerservice@candorasoap.ca
- Classes must be paid in full at time of registration. Spaces cannot be held without a processed payment.
- Please come to class with long sleeves and close toed shoes. We also ask you to bring along a face mask (this is required when you are creating your lye solution). If you have long hair, consider putting it up out of the way. Please don't forget to bring a hand towel or small bath towel to insulate your soap to take home.
- We will supply you with the necessary safety equipment (gloves and safety glasses). You may wish to bring along an apron to protect your clothing.
Cancellation Policy: You can cancel/reschedule your registration up until one week prior to class and receive a full refund. Within a week of class (7 days) you will receive 50% of your registration fee. There are no refunds for no shows. To cancel your registered class participation, please submit notification by email to customerservice@candorasoap.ca. The date of this notification will determine notice given.
