Our African Black Soap is 100% natural and vegan friendly. It contains saponifed shea nut butter, saponified coconut oil, saponified palm kernel oil and cocoa pod ash. Interestingly, African Black Soap is not actually black. It ranges in colour from light to dark brown. It's a soft soap that's pliable and offers a nice lather. It's perfect to use all over body and can be easily lathered up to use as a shampoo. Because it's known to be a natural source of Vitamin A and Vitamin E, it's commonly used for it's moisturizing/health benefits on the skin. African Black Soap is handmade in Ghana using traditional methods and ingredients.
Country of Origin: Ghana
INCI: Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Kernel Oil, Theobroma (Cacao Pod) Ash.
To Use: Slice off desired amount of soap and lather on washcloth or directly on the body. If the soap is misshapen or crumbly, it can mold easily back into form. Take extra special care to ensure proper drainage after each use of African Black Soap to prevent accelerated dissolve.
My only disappointment is the soap falls apart. I was hoping to use it as a bar soap, but it just keeps breaking up.
If anyone is curious about how big the 5kg is, it comes in one huge piece about 19.5 inch by 9.5 inch by 2.5 inch.
