I call this “Freshly Washed Man”. That’s what I thought of when I smelled it. I make soy candles. The name makes people pick it up and people’s reaction is “surprise!” But customers love it and buy the candle.
This scent is absolutely amazing. Now it behaves badly in cp. My first batch was just like the other reviews, ricing, accelerating. But I was able to create a very edgy look with it and it sold like crazy. Second batch... here's what I did and it still behaved bad but NOT AS BAD. It was great.
I soaped at 120f for lye and 115 for oils.. only went to a light trace and moved "quick", I did 3 colors and was able to do a rough swirl and a "choppy" top. My design is intended to be rough, not for the faint of heart as a Mother of Dragons is not. I have not cut it yet to see final look but I'm confident it will be perfectly imperfect as I intended.
Don't aim for perfection with this one, it's worth it.
This scent smells AMAZING!
But it accelerates soooo fast in CP
I did a single colour and put the fragrance in last
It had started to become stiff before I could pour it in the mold
I hope it turns out ????????
Although I will not hold my breath because I tried tapping on the ground and it did not move
I’m assuming I will have large gaps in my bar
I added this FO to a CP soap and it riced really bad almost immediately. I was prepared for acceleration but this? Despite trying hard to save it I lost an entire batch.
It smells AMAZING but unfortunately, I won't be trying it in CP soap ever again. Between the other reviewers report of it accelerating WAYYYYY too fast and this experience I will only be using it in lotions and balms in the future... very upsetting as this has been by far one of my favorite scents to date.
She was right! IT ACCELERATED LIKE CRAZY! even with a hand wisk, it went like a spark! The smell is amazing tho. Maybe i will use again in shampoo bar or in body butter but never in cp. It's not worth loosing a batch.
I just soaped with this fragrance for the first time today, and I have to admit that it has an incredible scent. Musky and deep with hints of amber and a whisper of citrus, as a soap buyer, this would be a regular purchase for me.
As a soaper, however, I'm not so sure. It accelerated like WHOA! I've never has a soap accelerate like this before! It's a good thing I was doing layers, because it hardened almost as soon as I stopped pouring. I had to level it before scraping out my containers, because if not, it was already too hard to shape. After the first layer, I stopped using my stick blender, but even with a whisk, it moved extremely fast.
SWIRLS WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE WITH THIS FO!
Again, lovely, deep scent - a favorite. I would definitely buy again for single-color soaps or layered designs.
